Origin
Rosa centifolia muscosa, hybrid of the Moss Rose “comtesse de Murinais” with Damask Rose “Quatre saion Blanc Mousseux“.Cultivated by Monreau-Robert France 1880.
Dense full flowers in bright pure white with a strong pleasant fragrance.They open into flat cup like shapes and are divided into four symmetrical parts in full bloom.
The white flowers are incomparably beautiful but the plant is liable to powdery mildew and its flowers are very sensative to rain.”Blanche Moreau” bloom only once a summer and a second bloom is very rare.Purplish almost black ,ruffed moss catches the eye.
As a shrub rose individually or as a group it can grow in soil lacking nutrients.”Blanche Moreau” can be hung on a climbing structure thanks to its height, also it is suitable as a potted rose.Grows tall upright 6ft(1.8m) tall and 3ft (90cm) wide.
